One question has been bugging me for some time:

Can I turn one thousand dollars into one million in the stock market?

Some say it’s next to impossible. But I believe that that a series of patient trades can lead to such result.

Follow my logic: I take $1,000, buy a stock, wait for it to increase by ten percent and immediately sell. I now have $1,100. I take that $1,100, buy another stock, and wait for that to increase by ten percent, then sell. I now have $1,210. Take the $1,210 and buy another stock, rinse, repeat. The growth is exponential. Seventy-three trades later, you have your million.

Some say it can’t be done. Let’s find out together.

Since December of 2014, I am documenting my experience on this website, and it will take years, and I may fail. You are welcome to observe and shake your head. Just don’t follow in my footsteps.

However, if you do want to live vicariously through me, you can sign up for my occasional email updates. I will send out one email as soon as I buy a stock and one email as soon as I sell it, and I will provide all the numbers so you know how the experiment is going. Sometimes I will buy and sell a stock within minutes, so I will only send out one email summarizing the trade.

Or you can just come to this website whenever you want and see if I’m still afloat. Note that updates on the website will come with some delay. If you want timely updates, email is the best way to go.

Remember: trading stocks is simply a hobby for me, so don’t bet your livelihood on this experiment.
