Why ten percent? Why not eleven or twelve or twenty?
I like round numbers. And ten is quicker to get to than twenty.

If a stock is going up, why don’t you just wait a little longer and sell with higher profit?
Successful trading requires strict rules and emotional discipline. My rule is to sell at ten percent. Because I mostly trade volatile stocks that can quickly reverse and slide back down, it’s best to lock in the profit when you have it.

What if you buy a stock and it goes down instead of up?
It happens all the time. My rule is to do nothing and just wait. Maybe cross fingers and hope it eventually comes back up.

If this is so easy, wouldn’t everyone be doing it?
This isn’t easy. I will most likely fail.

If you do get to your million, what will you do with it?
I could retire in my thirtiesĀ and live a modest life. A million dollars in investments can give you what, $30-40K a year in interest? Or I could go for a billion. That would only be another 73 trades.

Why share this with the world?
Experiences are most fun when shared.

Why TenPercent.io? What does .io stand for?
It stands for “in-n-out” – which is precisely the mindset you need to have for this experiment. It called out to me. Cosmic.
